Perform research and other duties in new haptic soft robotic gloves with integrated flexible and stretchable electronics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The postdoctoral research associate will perform research on:

reliably integrating flexible electronics and stretchable sensors and traces onto stretchable textiles to realize a comfortable soft robotic haptic glove that accurately tracks the motions of fingers, palm, lower and upper arm in real time
fabricating haptic muscles that can be actuated by low pressure and volumes of air, enabling fine force feedback and a small portable air compressor.
software and control challenges and machine learning approaches to improving teleoperation and training through a robotic testbed.

The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for performing research, writing journal articles and conference papers based on the results, helping supervise students performing relevant research, and assisting with reporting and proposal writing.
