Job Description

Part Time Instructor Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of a Part Time Automotive Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
  • Lecture and Lab instruction for Automotive courses. Courses range from Introduction to Automotive Maintenance to Advanced Diagnostics.
  • Provide Lab Safety Training.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide advisement to students.
  • Some program and or curriculum development may be requested.
  • Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
  • Automotive courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person. Automotive courses are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekend.


Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.

This position will be paid $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.

Required Qualifications
  • Current ASE certifications
  • 5 Years of Experience as a Technician in Automotive Industry


Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Technologies
  • G1 Auto Maintenance and Light Repair
  • Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
  • Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
