JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
In support of my NIH grant, there is an immediate need is to begin deploying a cell culture system to mechanically condition engineered tissues and to increase the contractile strength of this myocardium tissue, to meet the critical experiment milestones for my NIH grant (R15HL137145) as well as to provide data for a September/October grant re-submission.

- fabricating biomaterials scaffolds,
- culturing cells on the scaffolds,
- analyzing cellular responses with fluorescent / confocal microscopy and
- measuring controlled release of therapeutics
