The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region will be home to some of
the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology,
Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide
the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will
also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology
optimization.

Summary

Gilead is looking for an Information System Manager to join R&D IT organization. The Information System Manager will play a pivotal role in managing Research systems and technologies. The R&D IT team partners with Research teams globally to provide and facilitate technology solutions to accelerate and grow Gilead's pipeline of biopharmaceuticals.

Duties and Job Functions:

Translate functional requirements to technical requirements
Diagnose and resolve system and infrastructure problems efficiently
Engage with Research Capability Managers, Researchers, Infrastructure, Security, QA and Validation teams on system related asks
Manage vendor and MSP delivered technical outcomes
Ensure system performance and operations align with business process needs
Maintain technical documentation such as Design Spec, test protocols and summaries around information systems
Provide systems support for security initiatives with a balance for agility and velocity

Basic Qualifications

High School Degree and Eleven Year's Experience OR Associates Degree and Nine Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Seven Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and Five Years' Experience

Preferred Qualifications

In depth understanding of n-tier architecture, configuration, and management
Experience with cloud technologies and processes such as AWS, GitHub, CI/CD and DevOps
Experience implementing and supporting systems and platforms such as Spotfire, LIMS, Relational Databases, SalesForce, SharePoint
Experience supporting researchers and lab environment
Experience with regulated systems handling change controls, deviations and CAPAs
Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
