JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Assist the Associate Director, Employer Relations and Recruiting and WPI's Career Development Center (CDC) in managing activities, which focus on employer-related services and programs. These activities primarily include managing core recruiting services for the office, facilitating recruiting programs and events, and assisting with employer outreach efforts. This individual will provide career advising to students and programmatic duties and office processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Associate Director to develop and maintain successful relationships with organizations as well as alumni, parents, and friends of WPI through conferences, networking events, site visits, on-campus meetings, and scheduled calls to continue building the strong number of employers engaged with WPI students, alumni, and faculty
  • Foster relationships with organizations to raise awareness of gender and racial wage differences and hiring trends
  • Oversee the integration of the recruiting management system for the Career Development Center
  • Manage the CDC employer approval and job posting approval processes
  • Generate marketing content to communicate recruiting opportunities and best practices to employers, and administer recruiting services as needed
  • Lead the Employer Advisory Council (EAC) membership and bi-annual meetings
  • Provide support for employer recruiting programs and services including company information sessions, on-campus interviews, employer recruiting days, resume books, and other related activities.
  • Serve as an event manager for career fairs, educational programs, and networking nights as assigned and off-campus employer site visits for students or student groups and other special events as assigned
  • Provide career advising to undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni through
  • Appointments and workshops
  • Supervise student workers
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two to five years of experience in career services or comparable education, training, and experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with campus community and external constituents
  • Experience with information technology tools and a high-level of proficiency in using a career services management software platform. Experience with other management tools (i.e. Salesforce, Excel, Qualtrics, Brazen, Google Docs) highly desirable.
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced/dynamic environment under tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, ability to work independently and adapt to change in the workplace
  • Capability to learn and proficiently utilize career related online systems and resources, office computer applications, attention to detail and quality in all work products
  • Familiarity with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), business, humanities and arts disciplines as they related to career opportunities for students
  • Availability to work some evening/weekend hours to support office initiatives
  • A pre-employment criminal records check is required.
