JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Cote Research Lab is seeking a temporary shop assistant to help with Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and metal CNC machining in Washburn Shops.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Tasks will include:

Working closely with graduate research assistants to consult on mechanical design of research components, fixtures, and test samples contributing to advanced research in Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing

Translating CAD models into CAM files using Esprit CAM software

Using Hass CNC Mills and Lathes to machine metal components

Ideally, a candidate for this role should have a B.S. or greater in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, as well as previous experience with Solidworks CAD, Esprit CAM, and Hass CNC machinery. Industry experience in manufacturing engineering is a plus.
