In Summer 2023, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) offers a wide range of summer programs focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for students in grades 9-12. Programs are one to five weeks in length. We offer programs such as biomedical engineering, biology, computer science, data science, electrical and computer engineering, materials science and engineering, physics, robotics, and more! JOB DESCRIPTION

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs is seeking to hire part-time instructors for our summer programs with students in grades 9-12. These positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for our office and will be filled on an as needed basis. Start dates will vary depending on the program offerings.

All applicants require excellent interpersonal skills, good judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A successful instructor will also exhibit a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and an interest to work with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.

REQUIREMENTS:

Middle, high school or college science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities or business teacher.
Master's Degree required
Conditional offer pending a criminal background check.

COMPENSATION:

Varies, depending on the program
