Records and Registration Coordinator



Worcester Polytechnic Institute - WPI

Responsible for creation of special populations managed by the Registrar's Office, including exchange, consortium, non-degree, and Mass Academy students, and registration for those populations as required. Secondary coordinator for project registration and recording of completion of degree requirements. Create and register all independent studies.



o Work with Global Experience Office to coordinate creation and registration of all incoming Exchange students.

o Work with HECCMA consortium and graduate-level consortiums to create and register incoming and outgoing students. Provide data as needed regarding consortium registrations.

o Create and register non-degree students.

o Work with Mass Academy to create Mass Academy students and manage their program of study changes.

o Communicate to all special populations any needed information, including account setup and add/drop information.

o Maintain in-depth knowledge and comprehension of the WPI eProjects system and the student information system and related WPI policy and practices.

o Register HUA practicums.

o Create and register all independent studies, and assist with graduate research registration.

o Assist with phone and Cherwell coverage daily; provide back-up counter support when needed.

o Assist with tasks related to graduation, orientation, and other such events as requested.

o Provide back-up support to other areas of the office.

o Provide input on procedural enhancements and recommend changes as needed.

o Assist with student status cleanup each semester, and other data integrity issues as identified

o Serve as back-up VA compliance specialist.

o Perform other related duties as assigned.


o Bachelor's degree preferred.

o Experience with student information systems, Workday preferred.

o Previous experience within academic records environment or equivalent experience required.

o Detail-oriented/self-starter with ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change.

o Good written and verbal communication skills and confidentiality required.

o Some overtime may be required.
