The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region will be home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide
the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

Responsible for translation of business and technology requirements into business solution. Contributes to the analysis efforts for business case development, including resource estimates, prioritization and categorization. Analyzes opportunity requests, drives requirement discovery workshops, defining and documenting of current and future state process flows and user requirements. Collaborates on RFP submissions and response reviews. Participates in design reviews, test case definition, and UAT.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
  • Executes analysis for opportunity requests
  • Drives analysis efforts for initial business case, resource ROM, prioritization, and categorization
  • Compiles analysis materials for steering committee review
  • Documents outcomes of steering and governance committees, including decisions and prioritization
  • Executes business case updates during discovery phase
  • Contributes to resource level of effort, vendor readiness, contract readiness, GxP/SOX assessment
  • Collaborates in RFP submissions and responses
  • Drives business / user requirements gatthis roleing sessions
  • Documents process flows for current state and future state
  • Documents / maintains user requirements / use cases
  • Provides user requirements to development team for functional requirements definition
  • Participates in design reviews
  • Participates in test scenario definition
  • Participates in user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Supports the project rollout on deployment and hyper care tasks
  • Supports value affirmation analysis once the project is operational


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Degree and Eleven Years Experience OR Associate\\'s Degree and Nine Years Experience OR Bachelor\\'s Degree and Seven Years Experience OR Masters Degree and Five Years Experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling existing Project and Portfolio Mgmt.(PPM) , FP&A and other business processes. The Business Analyst-PPM will be responsible for business process analysis to understand and document current Project and portfolio Management (PPM)- FP&A-Financial business procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Additional focus will be PPM roadmap planning and execution Unity / Unity for Agile, Technology Roadmap for 2021, Clarity-PPM Upgrade, Preparing for Shift to ServiceNow- ITBM-PPM capability, Data Governance Best Practices, Implement Agile and project Bluestream (SAP).
  • Functional understanding and application of principles, theories, and concepts, aligning with understanding of business needs.
  • General knowledge of this role related disciplines
  • Understanding of functional aspect of systems in the relevant area, along with issues and otthis role aspects
  • Technical system expertise and understanding of architectural issues
  • Strong communication and excellent research skills\u200b and learning agility to understand internal business process, best practices and translate into technology needs/opportunities\u200b
  • Strong business acumen
  • Specific experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma/Medical Devices/Healthcare industries is preferred\u200b
