JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator - Covid Compliance will support university-wide talent and engagement initiatives primarily focused on COVID-related administrative and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to assist the team in their goals to achieve strategic and operational objectives, including the successful delivery of all facets of COVID-related support. This individual will also be responsible for providing HR support to the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

Support all aspects of COVID-related Human Resource Tasks including:
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development and Organizational Effectiveness to sort and organize waivers and other training related records related to COVID compliance (utilizing the LMS)
  • Field inquiries and provide timely responses to COVID related paperwork and messages
  • Assign compliance related training.
  • Compile, confirm, and report on compliance related testing (COVID)
  • Export testing data for leadership/management reports and notifications.
  • Other duties related to organizing, tracking, and reporting on COVID related information.


The role will also support key projects and initiatives requiring extensive engagement with WPI internal and external constituents, including faculty, staff, and community organizations. Additionally, this position will plan and execute targeted outreach and initiatives in alignment with WPI's strategic approach.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 2 years of relevant administrative or coordination experience (preferably in an HR or a health related setting)
  • Two or more years of related work experience, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).

  • Must demonstrate discretion and good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to practice effective communication with internal and external community including internal and external constituents.
  • Attention to detail, good organization and time management skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively, required. Must be able to work effectively and able to handle the stress of shifting and competing priorities and meet deadlines. Reacts well under pressure, manages competing demands, shows resourcefulness and works proactively.
  • Available to work occasional extended hours, which may include nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing good working relationships with students, staff and faculty. Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively in public settings, required.
  • Critical thinker, and mature problem solver required. Demonstrates a willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities with accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and monitor own work to ensure quality.


Preferred Experience:
  • Successful experience supporting HR or talent functions in academic environments
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • HR Certification (PHR or SPHR)
  • Experience in supporting initiatives that impact positive change
  • Experience analyzing and compiling data
