JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
To serve as the executive assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and provide additional administrative support for the enrollment division.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for Vice President for Enrollment Management (manage calendar appointments; screen telephone calls; take meeting notes; assist with the planning of arranging travel, meetings, and conferences, etc.).
  • Provide administrative support for the division.
  • Coordinate the planning of division meetings and the annual retreat.
  • Support and enhance the enrollment division's collaborative team culture in alignment with WPI's values of respect, community, and inclusion.
  • Exercise independent judgement and discretion over decisions pertaining to the budget, organization, planning, and communications with internal and external constituencies.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, meeting notes, routine letters, and memos.
  • Create and maintain easily accessible files and records on behalf of the division.
  • Participate in key university and division initiatives (WPI's Strategic Plan, admissions recruitment planning, and long-term enrollment planning).
  • Staff and support division events.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements
  • High school graduate
  • Five or more years of related work experience, preferably in an academic or office setting
  • Growth-mindset; curiosity; passion for learning
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • People-centric; relationship building skills
  • Experience and interest in working as part of a collaborative team
  • Personal commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an equitable and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all community members
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time management; experience managing multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to prioritize and use discretion in decision-making
  • Proficient in common computer systems such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or their equivalent; proficient or trainable in additional software used by the division (i.e. Salesforce, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Some nights and weekends may be required
