JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Director, Program Delivery and Strategic Partnerships is a key leadership role in the Graduate and Professional Studies organization, responsible for the successful delivery of programs, as well as the selection, evaluation and management of strategic partnerships. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director will partner with the Academic Departments as part of the annual planning process, to forecast enrollment and growth of graduate and stackable credentials programs, as well as to provide updates to the Departments about the key metrics for their programs. The Director is a key point of contact for Grad Studies, working closely with key stakeholders across the university to drive the successful delivery of programs, including graduate degree and certificate programs, non-credit workshops, technical short courses and special programs, delivered in onsite, online or blended formats. Additionally, the Director is the point person to identify, evaluate, implement and manage the strategic partnerships in Graduate and Professional Studies including, but not limited to, partnerships for marketing, recruiting, student support and professional development programs.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as key member of the strategic leadership team in Graduate Studies to support academic programs, Faculty, key stakeholders and students. Work with the leadership team to set department goals and develop plans to meet those goals.
  • Responsible for supervising, coaching and developing the program delivery team, including the faculty team, professional development program team and operations staff as needed.
  • Lead and facilitate partnership with the customer engagement team in support of development and launch of new corporate programs and new client relationships.
  • Identify, explore, implement and manage strategic partnerships for Graduate and Professional Studies. These partnerships include relationships such as the Online Program Management companies (OPM's) WPI has partnered with to provide services and those such as SNHU where WPI is the provider of services.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships to help grow revenue, improve processes, increase efficiency, etc.
  • Explore partnerships to expand WPI's reach and grow the brand
  • Partner with Academic Departments and Programs on annual graduate program planning and provide annual updates about the key metrics for graduate programs such as enrollment, student feedback and opportunities for program development.
  • Directly responsible for the successful delivery of all professional studies programs, including overall course quality, student and client satisfaction.
  • Establish professional studies delivery as a central services for WPI, partnering with Workforce Development team to identify, develop and launch targeted programming.
  • Leads WPI efforts to ensure compliance with state authorization for online programs through NC- SARA. Completes annual reporting and renewal process.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in customer relations,
    sales, customer service, or related experience, including leadership and management of others.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a track record of effective leadership.
  • Administrative experience at a college or university desired.
  • Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.
  • Exceptional technical and computing abilities, including database applications such as SCT Banner, preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively at multiple levels within the business and academic community.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • WPI expert for graduate program rankings and surveys. Ensure completion of all relevant rankings surveys on an annual basis including, but not limited to, US News and World Report online engineering and business surveys.
  • Independently evaluate processes and policies and suggest and implement more efficient methods to improve quality and/or service.
  • Play a leadership role in and support the Faculty Council for online education.
  • Evaluate and monitor national trends in education. Serve as expert in online education with regard to best practices, tools, student services, administrative support, etc.
  • Partner with the program development team to identify new courses and/or modules to develop and/or convert for new programs or to enhance existing programs.
  • Supervise additional staff as required
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
